The Zunftstube

Prior to the latest major renovation of the Schlüsselzunft in 2007, the Zunftstube, our à la carte restaurant part, was still laid out as a self-contained lounge with the historic tiled stove at the centre. By opening out the ground floor into one area and keeping it historically accurate, the Zunftstube was opened as the courtyard to both buildings.
Although the room is no longer recognisable as a 'lounge', it has gained in airiness and elegance and wins you over with the historical accuracy of a once open courtyard, just as with Basel Rathaus.

The Zunftstube is particularly suitable for the following events
Celebratory lunches or evening meals for small parties of 8 to 10 people
Small groups of up to 20 people with a small à la carte selection (three starters, mains and desserts each)

The Zunftstube is not suitable for the following events
Conferences and meetings without food requiring a separate room
Events with speeches and presentations
